Dulotec K254 is an extremely lightweight everyday folding knife with a dagger-style blade and a comfortable Micarta handle. It is the perfect size – compact enough to carry easily and large enough for most everyday tasks. The blade geometry is like a double-edged knife, but is sharpened on one side only.
The liners are polished stainless steel with cut-out holes for additional weight reduction. The Dulotec K254 also features a belt clip for deep carry and is the perfect everyday tool for everyone.
D2 – Stainless steel:
D2 steel offers excellent corrosion resistance (rust) thanks to its high chromium content. Sharpening is easy and can be done with ordinary sharpening tools. It quickly acquires a razor-sharp cutting edge and can maintain it for a decent amount of cutting. 8Cr is a popular choice among many manufacturers due to the excellent properties of the steel and its low price, offering a good balance between sharpness retention, ease of sharpening, and affordability.
Micarta:
Micarta is a high-quality material for making handles that are both lightweight and resistant to moisture and temperature changes. It is made from linen or canvas and epoxy resins.
The structure is completely layered and bonded with resins, making it the perfect choice for knife handles. The Micarta handle is durable and hard, so it will serve you for a long time and will not break or crack easily, regardless of the application.
Bearings:
The built-in bearings are made of high-quality hard steel and hard phosphor bronze, which allows for smooth and easy opening of the blade. Thanks to them, the blade is always correctly centered.
Liner Lock:
One of the most commonly used locking mechanisms found on folding knives. Its main component is a side spring located on the inside of the handle. When the knife is closed, the spring is held under tension. When fully open, this tension slides the spring inward, holding it firmly in place and preventing it from closing. To release the lock, you need to use your thumb to push the spring "sideways" so that it releases its contact with the blade, allowing you to fold it back into the handle. With a liner lock, you can close the knife with one hand without changing your grip, which is ideal when you need both hands for work.
